Thanksgiving

We enjoyed a really nice thanksgiving weekend.  The kids had the whole week off of school and Daddy had the last few days off.  We enjoyed being together and not having anything to do.  We had a wonderful feast on Thanksgiving day.  Sarah and Mommy made the flowers for the table together.  Alex and Lily played good while Mommy made the dinner.  Daddy carved the turkey and it was a nice feast.

We also had fun decorating for Christmas over the weekend.  We put our old tree up in the family room.  We will get a fresh one in the next few weeks for the front room.  Lily really thought it was fun having a Christmas tree.  She kept saying how beautiful it was.

Pie and our Weekly Happenings.

Lily helped me make an apple pie this week.  She was such a good helper.  She wanted her picture taken with it.
I sure love this cute little kid.

Sarah had her Intermediate Band concert.  She looked so cute.  I was proud of her.  She has really enjoyed playing the flute and has a natural talent for music.
Out of 8 flutists in her class she was first chair.  :)
Looking cute in her bow-tie and cummerbund.
 Outside the concert.
 The band taking pictures.
 Group pictures.
 Can you find Sarah?

Alex had an award ceremony this week at school.  He got an award for being respectful.  He is a good kid and is always kind and well behaved.
 Pretty cute kid!

This is the heart-breaker shot.  So handsome.

Alex's Harvest Party

Alex's class had a Harvest Party on Halloween.  I was asked to take pictures for the class webpage.  I took a million pictures of all of the kids, but here are the ones I thought were the cutest.  :)

Halloween Week

We had a fun Halloween week.  Alex had crazy hair day the day before Halloween for spirit week at school.  He liked putting his hair in a Fauxhawk.  It stayed that way until the last part of school when he had to wear headphones in the computer lab.  :)

Halloween was lots of fun.  The kids went trick-or-treating at Intel and then we had our ward Trunk-or-treat.

We finished off the week with a fun Halloween dinner and then Trick-or-Treating around the neighborhood.  It was fun to see so many kids from Alex's school and see our neighbors.  We live in a fun neighborhood where lots of kids come around.  For the record I think I bought around 500 pieces of candy and 50 mini play dough things that we handed out between all three events.  It was worth it.  The kids had lots of fun.

Sarah was a cute witch.  She did look really cute!
Our pumpkins.
Halloween night dinner:  Pumpkin/Butternut squash soup with sourdough bread, roasted pumpkin seeds, and brain jello.  Yummy!
