Sarah's Cross Country Season

Sarah had a great cross country season this year.  She had PR's in almost every event in the last half of the season.  She also qualified to go to the Section Championship Race.  Her Frosh/Soph team got first place at most of their races!

She came in 15th out of about 60 girls in her race and had her fastest time of the season at the Championship race.

We love watching Sarah's races and seeing how hard she works and the results of her hard work.  She has set goals and stayed positive.  We are so proud of her!

Vista Homecoming 2016

Sarah went with some of her friends to Homecoming at Vista.  It's a fun tradition at our high school to get dressed up and go in groups even if you aren't old enough to date or don't have a date.  Sarah's friends got together and had dinner and then all went to the dance together.  Here are some of the pictures from a fun night.

Sunsplash

On the last weekend before school started we spent a day at the Intel party at Sunsplash.  It was so fun!  The kids went on all of the water slides.  They had no fear. We had a delicious hamburgers for lunch thanks to dad's work.  A great way to end our summer vacation!

2nd trip to Utah for Uncle Stewart's Funeral

Dad's uncle has been sick with ALS for the past year and we knew he wouldn't live much longer.  He passed away at the end of our summer vacation time and we were grateful that the kids were off school and we could travel to Utah for the funeral.  It turned into a wonderful spur of the moment trip.
We spent a couple days with Oma and Grandpa Bill.  We went to the Church History Museum, Shopping at City Creek, and then to the German Bakery.

We went swimming one day with Preston and then went and got shaved ice afterward.

Then we drove down south and stayed in Lehi.  We did some back to school shopping while dad worked at the hotel.  We didn't get any pictures.  Too busy shopping I guess.

The next day was Uncle Stewart's funeral.  It was a very nice service for a good and humble man.  It was nice to see family we haven't seen in a long time and catch up.  This trip for us was a wonderful blessing to be able to spend extra time with both of our families.
