Horsetail Falls Hike

The weekend of Sarah's Birthday Uncle Mark and Aunt EJ came up to Folsom and stayed over.  We decided to take a little hike up into El Dorado National Forest.  We haven't been in that part of the Sierras, even though it is the closest to us.  The trails weren't that great, but the scenery was beautiful.  Gorgeous views and waterfalls.  It was a fun afternoon.
 Starting up the trail.
Taking a break on a big granite boulder.
Snow!  The kids loved it, but Mommy doesn't miss it yet.

A closer look at the lower falls.    It was loud!
Looking back down the canyon at the beautiful Sierras.
 Another view.
 Mommy in the mountains.
Just before we turned around this was the view Mommy kept seeing.  Lily isn't light and Daddy was carrying her up the trail.  She is a good hiker, but was getting worn out.

 The beautiful horsetail falls.
Alex posing for one of his many pictures.
Sarah and Daddy next to a big Sequoia.

Another family picture.  Lily didn't want to participate.
